Young at Heart Friday Lunch Club

As part of the Croeso Cynnes/Warm Spaces scheme, we are once again opening our Arts Room doors to all on Fridays for a free light lunch and a film. Each Friday a light lunch will be served at 12noon, followed by a film from our extensive collection. All welcome, no need to book.

Twelve Years a Slave

Honouring Black History Month 2025, this film tells the true story of one man's fight for survival and freedom. It is 1841 and Solomon Northup, a free black man from upstate New York, is abducted and sold into slavery. Stripped of his identity and deprived of all dignity, Northup is purchased by ruthless plantation owner Edwin Epps and must find the strength within to survive. In his twelfth year of captivity, a chance meeting with a Canadian abolitionist forever alters his life.
