Stories from Barmouth, Wales and beyond
Come and listen to stories about kings and queens, the Tylwyth Teg and fairies, dragons and monsters and ordinary people as well. Stories of Barmouth, Gwynedd and Wales, stories from long ago and tomorrow. The Dragon Storytellers will be joined by professional storyteller Gillian Brownson.
Gillian Brownson is a poet, performer, illustrator and storyteller from Ynys Mon. Having worked with the Arts Council of Wales, Bangor University, Walk the Plank and many others, she aims to bring Performance and New Writing to the heart of the community, whether it's through Storytelling, Poetry or the development one person plays to tell important local stories. Much of her work includes song and she also illustrates her work and the writing of other authors.
She writes original material for many of the above partners, but is also a published poet and her children's novel, 'Mouse Missions: Darkwhsitle & the Haunted River' was longlisted for the Bloomsbury New Children's Author prize in 2015.
Stories will be told in English and bilingually Welsh-English.

Bydd y Straeonwyr Dreigiau yn cael eu ymuno gan straeonwr proffesiynol Gillian Brownson. Mae Gillian Brownson yn feirdd, perfformwraig, darlunydd a straeonwr o Ynys Môn. Wedi gweithio gyda Chyngor Celfyddydau Cymru, Prifysgol Bangor, Walk the Plank a llawer o eraill, mae'n ceisio dod â Perfformiad a Ysgrifennu Newydd i galon y gymuned, boed hynny trwy Straeon, Barddoniaeth neu ddatblygiad ffordd i rywun adrodd straeon lleol pwysig. Mae llawer o'i gwaith yn cynnwys canu ac mae hi hefyd yn darlunio ei gwaith ei hun a gwaith ysgrifenwyr eraill.
Mae'n ysgrifennu deunydd gwreiddiol ar gyfer llawer o'r partneriaid uchod, ond mae hi hefyd yn feirdd cyhoeddus ac mae ei nofel i blant, 'Mouse Missions: Darkwhistle & the Haunted River' wedi cael ei rhestru'n hir am wobr Awdur Newydd Plant Bloomsbury yn 2015.
